One year of the Digital Pact for Schools

The Digital Pact for Schools with a total funding volume of 5 billion euros was approved by the federal government a year ago. Since then, only 12 of the 16 federal states have approved funding applications. First and foremost, Hamburg has released 116 million, Saxony approved just under 15 million. The other federal states only received single-digit funding amounts or were unable to provide any information.

A recent survey of schoolchildren in Germany confirms the lack of investment in the education sector. For example, 59% stated that there was a lack of digital media in lessons. 56% said that their school was poorly equipped in terms of technology.
