Exchange views on current topics with movers and shakers, look behind the scenes and into the machine rooms, share good and bad experiences, develop together, get new impetus, receive practical tips and contacts for the digital transformation.
Digitalization in cities and municipalities means change and thus the opportunity to make them more competitive, innovative and sustainable. The aim of this experience workshop is a relaxed exchange between participants and the hosts from Stadt.Land.Digital, eco – Verband der Internetwirtschaft e. V., Uber and Bochum University of Applied Sciences. We will discuss the contribution of digitalization to greater sustainability and climate protection in smart cities, using the example of smart building technology, mobility and digitalization strategies.
The discussion will start with an impulse from the current eco study 2021 “The Smart City Market in Germany 2021-2026”. Relevant experiences that we want to talk about include The implementation of innovations enables resources to be saved and efficiencies to be increased, thus making a significant contribution to climate protection. Intermodal and connected transportation platforms and the increasing availability of sharing concepts create climate protection potential through less private transport and the associated reduction in emissions. Smart lighting and smart homes can demonstrably increase energy efficiency. The development of a digitalization strategy forms the basis for the successful implementation of measures in urban society.
One of the most frequently made statements at the DIV conference: “We need a broad mindset change for the digital transformation!” We want to explore this further in the first DIV-Erfahrungswerkstatt. How do you change a mindset? What is a mindset anyway? In an interactive creative session, Prof. Tim Bruysten and Matthias Brucke will show how a different view of people and organizations can change the underlying paradigms.

The goals of DIV-Erfahrungswerkstatt are to exchange views on current topics with movers and shakers, take a look behind the scenes and into the machine rooms, share good and bad experiences, develop together, gain new impetus, receive practical tips and contacts for your own tasks and perspectives in the digital transformation.
The idea for DIV-Erfahrungswerkstatt was born at the DIV conference. It was inspired by the frequently expressed desire to be able to further explore specific aspects of the digital transformation topics discussed there in a small group and in individual current contexts.
The format of DIV-Erfahrungswerkstatt offers a continuous framework for this and can be easily integrated into everyday working life with short one to one-and-a-half hour interactive sessions. The experience workshop is organized by the supporting association of Charter of Digital Networking. Participation is always free of charge.
