The discussion will start with an impulse from the current eco study 2021 “The Smart City Market in Germany 2021-2026”. Relevant experiences that we want to talk about include The implementation of innovations enables resources to be saved and efficiencies to be increased, thus making a significant contribution to climate protection. Intermodal and connected transportation platforms and the increasing availability of sharing concepts create climate protection potential through less private transport and the associated reduction in emissions. Smart lighting and smart homes can demonstrably increase energy efficiency. The development of a digitalization strategy forms the basis for the successful implementation of measures in urban society.
