Cabinet decision on the National Action Plan for Open Government and Public Administration

The Federal Government has adopted the first National Action Plan (NAP) presented by Federal Minister of the Interior Dr. Thomas de Maizière as part of Germany’s participation in the Open Government Partnership (OGP). Together with the “Open Data Act”, which came into force in July, participation in the OGP supports more transparent government and administrative action in the future. The first NAP creates important framework conditions for the further promotion of open government and specifies the implementation of suitable reform projects in a wide range of policy areas.
