In its latest study “The German Smart City Market 2017-2022. Facts and Figures”, the German Internet Industry Association (eco) predicts a boom in the conversion of cities into smart cities over the next few years. Sales are expected to double and a wide variety of companies are already setting out to position themselves competitively along the value chain. The study predicts that forward-looking mobility strategies, such as those already implemented in the smart cities of Vienna and Dubai, will also become established in Germany.
